Josie Sandler

Josie Sandler, Principal of Sandler Search Associates, has over a decade of executive search experience.

She specializes in recruiting senior executives and board members for leading nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and foundations. With her experience, her expertise, and her extensive networks, Josie helps New York’s social sector find new leaders.

Most recently as a Client Partner at Korn/Ferry International and previously with Heidrick & Struggles, Josie has completed more than 95 assignments for senior executives across the nonprofit sector and for other mission-related organizations.

Before entering the search profession, Josie served as Associate Vice President, Corporate Affairs at Prudential Securities and as Manager of Corporate Fund Raising for New York Cares. She began her career at R.H. Macy’s in their retail executive management program.

Josie, a native New Yorker, earned her master’s degree in public administration from NYU Wagner School of Public Service and a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College. She has recently been nominated to the Dartmouth Alumni Council and is an active member of the board of Maccabi USA/Sports for Israel.

Melanie Kidd

Melanie Kidd, Senior Associate of Sandler Search Associates, has over ten years of experience working in the public and private sectors. She specializes in strategic guidance, talent management, and recruiting for leading organizations.

Most recently as a Manager at Archstone Consulting, Melanie consulted in the Strategy & Operations practice. She worked in numerous industries on client engagements that included growth strategy, marketing strategy, organizational design, and project management. During this time, Melanie initiated Archstone's pro-bono consulting program for two non-profit organizations. She was also a key member of the MBA recruiting and New Hire Training team.

Prior to Archstone, Melanie worked in the public sector both in the US and Latin America for educational non-profits where she gained experience in training, recruiting, marketing, and project management.

Melanie received an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Duke University. She is a member of the Brooklyn Hospital Young Leadership Council. Active in multiple cultural endeavors including dancing, singing and playing the guitar.

Arlene Rado

Arlene Rado, Senior Associate for Sandler Search in the Chicago office, specializes in recruiting senior executives for leading nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and foundations.

She has over 20 years of experience in executive search, most recently as a Senior Associate in the Chicago office of Korn/Ferry International where she completed over 80 assignments across multiple industries and functional areas.

Having also worked for Heidrick & Struggles and DHR International, she has recruited senior talent for both public and private corporations, including family-owned and private equity sponsored companies.

A native of Chicago, she received received her Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Human Resources Management from DePaul University. She and her husband reside in downtown Chicago.
